Such a colourful town
with its little marina
and a sky blue as the sea
Within the ancient fortress
which guards the roman cathedral
the view from the bell tower
Portuguese guitar that cries the Fado
and the sun keeps the tiles tanned
The ancient walls meet the modern streets
Up to the lighthouse
to see the door to the Atlantic
with familiar faces
The sea was choppy...
but the ria was calmed enough
to enjoy the boat ride
to the fisherman's isle
Westmost point of Portugal
Lagos' marina
and tiled city centre
Looking for lost beaches
at the end of the rainbow
where the sea meet the rocks
and patiently carves it
creating watery caves
