El cerro de los Ángeles

Here lies the geographical center of the Iberian Peninsula.

During the Spanish Civil war, the top of the hill was a disputed zone and the religious monuments that once stood there were highly damaged. Afterwards, during the military dictadure, they were rebuilt and a new chapel was erected. However, in some of the buildings' walls you can still see the bullet holes.

Getafe

Getafe is one of the closest urban centers to the Cerro. Although not the most advertised neighbouring town, some of their streets were very authentic, still keeping their castillian air.
