Abstract: Formula One cars seem to defy logic as well as the laws of physics but in reality they employ amazingly ingenious strategies to exploit physical processes in order to go fast.

About the Speaker: Dave has been a Motor Racing fan as long as he can remember but chose electronics as a career path rather than Automobile Engineering. That led to I.T. and eventually starting his own small company which was the only way he could get sponsorship!
Dave has competed in motorsport all his life but at a strictly amateur level. Nevertheless, he has kept a watchful eye on ‘the big boys’ and their ever more ingenious methods.
